1. Overview

It is intended to reduce avoidable damage, unsafe handling, and installation mistakes during storage, transport, and site use.

2. Intended Use

Our Ethernet cables are supplied for commercial networking, CCTV, telecom, structured cabling, and related low-voltage data applications. Buyers should ensure that the selected cable category and construction are appropriate for the intended environment before installation begins.

• Use the correct cable category for the intended network requirement
• Check whether shielding, jacket type, or reel format is suitable for the project environment
• Do not assume a cable is suitable for every use case without confirming the quoted specification

3. Storage Precautions

Before installation or resale, cables should be stored in a dry, covered, and reasonably ventilated location.

• Keep reels and cartons away from excessive moisture, standing water, and direct rain exposure
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, high heat, chemicals, or corrosive materials
• Do not place heavy items on top of cable reels or packaged boxes in a way that may deform the cable
• Rotate stock carefully and inspect packaging condition before dispatch to a project site

4. Handling Before Installation

Cables should be handled carefully to avoid damage to the jacket, conductor structure, or shielding.

• Do not drag cable reels across rough surfaces
• Avoid sharp bends, crushing pressure, or excessive pulling force during movement
• Use appropriate reel stands, guides, or handling support for large quantities
• If the outer packaging looks damaged at delivery, inspect the reel or cable before use

5. Installation Precautions

Installation should be carried out by trained or experienced technicians following accepted structured cabling practices and relevant project requirements.

• Follow applicable wiring and termination practices such as TIA-568 where relevant to the project
• Maintain suitable bend radius and avoid overstretching during pulling
• Separate data cables from sources of electrical interference where practical
• Use proper connectors, patch panels, and grounding methods for shielded cable installations
• Test the installed run after termination rather than assuming site performance from appearance alone

6. Inspection Before Use

Buyers and installers should inspect the supplied goods at the time of receipt and again before installation if the material has been stored for some time.

• Check for visible jacket cuts, crushing, water exposure, or transport damage
• Confirm the ordered cable type, approximate length, and quantity against the purchase discussion or quotation
• Do not install obviously damaged or tampered cable without first raising the issue with us

7. Misuse and Unsafe Use

Ethernet cable should not be used in a manner inconsistent with the intended quoted product type or in environments that require a different specification than the one supplied.

• Do not use damaged, cut, burnt, or visibly compromised cable for critical installations
• Do not rely on a general website description in place of the final confirmed quotation or project specification
• Do not treat the cable as a substitute for products designed for unrelated power or hazardous-duty applications

8. Buyer and Installer Responsibility

Final responsibility for project selection, installation method, routing environment, and post-installation testing remains with the buyer, contractor, system integrator, or technician carrying out the work. Real-world performance depends on correct application, supporting hardware, and installation quality.

9. Reporting Safety or Product Concerns
